​​​ District Supervisor - Lindsey C. Smith

Smith was promoted to District 5 Supervisor on August 15, 2026. 

Smith began her career with DOC in 2008 as a probation and parole officer in the Grayson County office in District 5. In this role she supervised offenders in Hart County, including a sex offender caseload and a low level caseload.  She promoted to Assistant District supervisor in August 2018 in the Grayson County Office.  In May 2021 Smith transferred to the Division of Reentry Services as a jail reentry coordinator covering Breckinridge, Grayson, Hardin and Shelby County jails. In July 2022, she returned back to Probation and Parole and has been an Assistant Supervisor since October 2022 in both District 3 and District 5.

Over the course of her career, Smith has developed an outstanding relationship with court and other local authorities who see her as a trusted and competent source of information and assistance. In 2014, she was chosen to be a part of the ACA compliance mock audit team. She has also served on the ACA compliance review team for the Division of Probation and Parole. Smith has trained multiple new officers and served at an FTO.  Additionally, Smith has assisted the department by participating in local job fairs and school presentations. 

Smith graduated in 2007 from Western Kentucky University with a bachelor's degree in psychology. She was the recipient of the 2014 DOC Achievement Award for District 5.
