​​ District Supervisor - Steve Heddleston

Heddleston is a 14-year veteran of the Department of Corrections. He began his career in the criminal justice field in 2003 working as a Probation and Parole Officer in the Maysville office. In 2004, he transferred to the Versailles office. He has served as a supervision officer, pre-sentence investigation writer and Class D release coordinator. Heddleston has served as a firearms instructor since 2008, as well as a member of the division's firearms board since 2015. He also worked for the division as an adjunct instructor for employee in-service training and the new officer pre-service academy from 2015 to 2016. In December, he was promoted to assistant supervisor in District 14.

Heddleston is a 2000 graduate of Eastern Kentucky University where he earned a bachelor's degree in police administration. He obtained his master's degree in criminal justice from Eastern Kentucky University in 2002. He is the recipient of the 2013 District 14​ Achievement Award and is a graduate of the 2014 Commissioner's Executive Leadership Program.
