District Supervisor - Timothy Walker
Walker began his career with DOC in 2004 as a correctional officer at the Kentucky Correctional Institution for Women. He later promoted to a classification and treatment officer, working in that position until 2005 when he was hired as a probation and parole officer in District 18. In this position he supervised clients on probation and parole while also maintaining a specialized sex offender caseload.
In 2009, Walker transferred to District 17 where he supervised clients in a program designed to target violent offenders and reduce violence in the community. In 2018, Walker transferred to District 6 where he once again supervised a specialized sex offender caseload. In the latter part of 2018 Walker was promoted to assistant district supervisor in District 21. In this role, he assisted and trained officers supervising clients in Reentry Service Centers, Recovery Kentucky Centers and class D operations in the northern region. When District 21 was dismantled, Walker was placed in District 19 where he continued to hold the same responsibilities.
Throughout his career, Walker has assisted the division by taking on several additional duties. This has included serving as a liaison to local law enforcement, fire and safety coordinator, certified OSHA inspector, STG coordinator, electronic monitoring officer, field training officer and firearms instructor. He has also assisted with teaching the reentry programs Thinking for a Change and 24/7 Dad.
A graduate of the University of Louisville, Walker earned his bachelor's degree in justice administration in 2002. He is a graduate of the department's 2014 - 2015 Commissioner's Executive Leadership Program.
