Warden Daniel Akers

Daniel Akers was named Warden at Lee Adjustment Center in November 2017. Akers joined CoreCivic in 1994 as quality assurance manager at Otter Creek Correctional Center, where he later became a unit manager. He was promoted to chief of security at LAC before becoming assistant warden at Marion Adjustment Center, where he was promoted again to warden.

Akers was named assistant warden at Leavenworth Detention Center and later returned to Lee as warden. He became assistant warden at Hardeman County Correctional Center and then transferred to Trousdale Turner Correctional Center as assistant warden. Prior to joining CoreCivic, he spent three years at Pike County Detention Center and two years at the Pike County Sherriff's Department.
