​​ ​District Supervisor - Taliyah Jefferson

Jefferson began her career with DOC in August 2006 as a probation and parole officer in District 7. During her years of service, she has maintained a regular caseload, supervised individuals in the Transitions Inc. York Street House, and acted as the intake liaison for incoming parolees. Additionally, she was one of the initial officers selected to supervise a specialized mandatory reentry supervision (MRS) caseload while assisting with class D release scheduling.

In 2016, Jefferson was promoted to assistant district supervisor. She provided training and oversight to officers assigned to her, monitored the District 7 parole to hold caseload, oversaw District 7 interstate compact activities, and scheduled parole hearings. Additionally, she served as a PREA investigator.

Jefferson is a 2004 graduate of Northern Kentucky University, where she earned her bachelor's degree in criminal justice with a concentration in psychology. She is a graduate of the 2016-2017 Commissioner's Executive Leadership Program and an Army veteran with eight years of service.
