Danny Dodd began his career in 1992 as a Correctional Officer at the South Central Correctional Facility in Clifton, TN. He was promoted to a number of increasingly responsible positions including Sergeant, Lieutenant, and Captain (Shift Supervisor). He later went on to serve as Chief of Security at the Tallahatchie County Correctional Facility.
In 2005, Warden Dodd was promoted to the role of Assistant Warden. He went on to serve as Assistant Warden at the South Central Correctional Facility, the Hardeman County Correctional Facility, the West Tennessee Detention Facility, and the Marion Adjustment Center in St. Mary, KY.
During his career, Mr. Dodd has served as Special Operations Response Team (SORT) member and Commander, Chemical Agents and Specialty Impact Munitions instructor, Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) Compliance Manager, and mentor to many other staff. He is a member of the Kentucky Council on Crime and Delinquency.
Warden Dodd began his assignment as Warden at the Lee Adjustment Center in September 2025.
