The Health Services Division provides administrative oversight and direction for all aspects of inmate health care, including psychiatric and dental services. In addition to ensuring that all inmates receive health screenings, physical exams, primary care, specialty care referrals and emergency services, the Division also provides for chronic care clinics designed to monitor and treat inmates with the following chronic conditions: Asthma, Diabetes, Epilepsy, Hepatitis C, High Cholesterol, High Blood Pressure and HIV infections. This office also coordinates all medical transfers, monitors pharmacy formulary compliance, coordinates the inmate medical grievance procedures and provides clinical consultation and advice to other divisions of the Department of Corrections.
