Roederer Correctional Complex

​​​​​​​​In-person and virtual visitation at RCC have resumed.

In-person visitation will occur one weekend per month.*
Virtual visitation will occur two weekends per month.*
All COVID protocols are being followed. Masks that cover nose and mouth MUST BE WORN by inmates, visitors, and staff working visitation, at all times.
Visitation is by appointment only. Contact the offender's caseworker to schedule visit. (502) 222-0173​

Days and times of visitation will vary by institution. Inmates are allowed two visitors at a time and visits must be scheduled at least one week in advance.​

Visiting Guidelines


Visitation Schedule:

Visitation will be conducted on Saturday and Sunday beginning at 8:30 a.m. and the last visitors will enter in at 4:00 p.m. Visitors will need to arrive 15 minutes prior to the visit to be processed in. Visitors arriving later than 15 minutes prior to the scheduled visit will be turned away at Gate 393.

  • ​Each inmate is eligible to receive 1 in-person visit a month. Assessment Center inmates must reside here over 60-days to receive a visit. Visitors must be on the inmates approved visitation list before visiting may occur.
  • The visits will be for one hour and all visitors will enter together and leave at the same time as scheduled.
  • Two (2) visitors allowed.  One (1) adult and one (1) child provided they are both on the inmates approved visitation list and the child can wear a mask for the duration of the visit.
  • Visitors shall provide their own masks.
  • Visits will continue to be NO CONTACT until further notice.
  • You and your vehicle will be searched upon entry AND upon exiting. NO VISITORS MAY BE DROPPED OFF AND PICKED-UP NOR WILL ANYONE BE ALLOWED TO WAIT IN THE CAR DURING THE VISIT. SPECIAL REQUESTS MUST BE MADE 10-DAYS IN ADVANCE.
  • The only items allowed inside the institution will be your identification card, ignition key/remote, vehicle door key, a mask to protect your nose and mouth.
  • MASKS MUST be worn by inmates, visitors, and staff at all times. Refusal to abide by this rule will mean forfeiture of your visit.
  • Absolutely no physical contact between the visitor and inmate is permitted at any time during the visit.
  • There will be no access to the vending machines. Please do not bring in money or snacks for your visit.
  • Winter coats will be allowed to be worn into the visitation vestibule; however, all outer wear (including open front sweaters) will be left in the vestibule.  If you are normally cold during the visit, please wear a sweater top OR sweatshirt – NO HOODIES!
  • No watches (including watches connected to your smartphone) or cell phones.

Dress Attire:
  • ​Shoes: All shoes must be closed toe. No Flip Flops or clogs.
  • Shirts: Must be long enough to tuck in. No foul language written on shirt or any other inappropriate graphics. No low-cut shirts and no cut designs in shirts that would leave bare areas on arms and/or back. Shirts must cover midriff, cleavage, bosom, and armpits.
  • Pants: No skintight pants, no rips, and no pants that show underwear or bare back when sitting. No sweatpants, athletic or yoga shorts or pants, spandex, tights, or leggings (unless approved prior to your visit due to medical needs).
  • Shorts/Skirts/Dresses: No wraparound skirt or dress. No miniskirts or cutoffs. All shorts, shirts, and dresses shall be no shorter than (4) inches above the knee.
  • Jewelry: Each visitor may wear only one (1) ring, one (1) simple necklace with or without medallion, one (1) simple pair of stud earrings. (Large or Bulky Jewelry not Allowed for safety reasons)
  • Head covering: No hats or head covering except for religious headwear.

DIRECTIONS - DO NOT USE GPS ON OUR ADDRESS. It will not bring you to our institution. Please GPS the Oldham County Police Department we are just on the right past the Police station. The address is 1855 N Highway 393, LaGrange, KY 40031.  Just prior to reaching the institutional entrance road, you will notice a sign on your right directing you to Roederer Correctional Complex. Turn right and proceed down the lane to the security station to give the correctional officer the information he requests.

In-Person Visitation days are based on the last digit of the inmates DOC #...ODD or EVEN.​
  • During “odd” numbered months (January, March, May, July, September and November), an inmate whose ID number ends in an odd digit shall receive visits on Saturdays, and inmate whose ID number ends in an even digit shall receive visits on Sundays.
  • During “even” numbered months (February, April, June, August, October, and December), an inmate whose ID number ends in an even digit shall receive visits on Saturdays, and an inmate whose ID number ends in an odd digit shall receive visits on Sundays.
