Green River Correctional Complex


To protect the citizens of the Commonwealth and to provide a safe, secure and humane environment for staff and offenders in carrying out the mandates of the legislative and judicial processes; and, to provide opportunities for offenders to acquire skills which facilitate non-criminal behavior.

 Deputy Warden Ron Beck

Beck is a native of the area and a 1982 graduate of Central City High School. He spent 10 years in the United States Air Force Security Police. He began his Corrections career at Western Kentucky Correctional Complex in September 1992 as a Correctional Officer. He was promoted to Sergeant in December 1993 and then transferred to Green River and promoted to Lieutenant in Internal Affairs in September 1994.

In February 2000, he was promoted to Administrative Specialist III at GRCC and served as the institution’s Procedure’s Officer, Litigation and Inmate Grievance Coordinator. He served in this role until his promotion to Deputy Warden.
