Picture of Keith HeltonKeith Helton began his career with Corrections at Eastern Kentucky Correctional Complex as a Correctional Officer in May 1997. He was promoted to Lieutenant and transferred to Little Sandy Correctional Complex when that facility opened in May 2005 and was again promoted to corrections unit administrator in May 2006. In August 2010, he returned to EKCC upon his promotion to Captain. In January 2011, he was promoted to senior captain and was promoted to his current position of Deputy Warden in July 2013. He currently serves as EKCC’s Corrections Emergency Response Team (CERT) commander and is also the eastern region CERT commander.

During his career he completed the Commissioner’s Executive Leadership Development Program (CELDP) in 2007 and also completed the CELPD Alumni class in 2012. He is the recipient of the 2007 Achievement award from LSCC and also the 2011 Achievement award from EKCC.
