Deputy Warden Bruce Von Dwingelo

Von Dwingelo began his career with the Department of Corrections in March 2002 as a correctional officer at KSP. In march 2005 he was promoted to sergeant where he worked as visitation supervisor, correctional industries security supervisor and special management unit sergeant. He was promoted to classification and treatment officer in May 2008. In September 2009 he was promoted to unit administrator I and in March 2011 to unit administrator II. In this position he has worked in the general population unit, death row, minimum security unit, restrictive housing units, and the protective custody unit.

Von Dwingelo is a 2007 graduate of Mid-Continent University with a bachelor's degree in business administration and from the Community College of the Air Force with an associate's degree in aircraft maintenance technology. He is a retired United States Air Force chief master sergeant, having served 25 years. He is a member of the Correctional Peace Officers Foundation.
