Deputy Warden Belinda Sanchez



Belinda Sanchez served as unit administrator II at Blackburn Correctional Complex. Previously she held that same position at Luther Luckett Correctional Complex beginning in 2014. She started her career with Corrections Corporation of America (CCA) in December 2004 as a classification and treatment officer at Lee Adjustment Center. Several years later she transferred to the Administrative Office of the Courts as a case specialist working in Drug Court serving Morgan, Elliott and Carter counties. In 2011, she was hired as the classification and treatment officer II at Bell County Forestry Camp. 

Sanchez has extensive experience facilitating Soft Skills, New Directions, Alcoholics Anonymous, and Inside Out Dads, as well as overseeing a multitude of other programs. Additionally, she has served as classification chairperson, grievance chairperson, and has been a member of the Crisis Negotiation Team in every facility in which she has worked. 

Sanchez is a graduate of the 2014 Commissioner's Executive Leadership Program and a 2013 Commissioner's Award recipient. She earned her bachelor's degree in English literature from the University of Texas at El Paso.​
