Trenton VanMeter Promoted to District 5 P&P Supervisor

     Frankfort, Ky. (September 10, 2008) – Kentucky Department of Corrections Director of Probation & Parole Lelia “Lee” VanHoose today announced that Trenton VanMeter has been promoted to District 5 Supervisor. The district includes Breckenridge, Bullitt, Hardin, Hart, Grayson, and Meade counties.  The promotion was effective September 1, 2008.
    “I am excited with the addition of Trent VanMeter to our leadership team and I expect only the highest standard of work from him”, said VanHoose.  VanHoose further commented “Trent has really distinguished himself as a leader in the Division during these last few years. His dedication and expertise in implementing the Kentucky Offender Management System and his continued work on that system is the kind of skill and heart required to be a District Supervisor."
     Originally from Hardin County, VanMeter graduated from Western Kentucky University with a bachelor’s degree in Social Studies. He started his career with the Department of Corrections in 1996, working as a  Probation and Parole Officer for District 5 in the Leitchfield office.  He later transferred to Elizabethtown in 1999. In January of 2007 VanMeter was promoted to Assistant Supervisor of the district.
     Trent lives in Hardin County with his wife, Heather, and five-year-old son, Jagger.
