Cassandra Davis Promoted to District 18 P&P Supervisor

     Frankfort, Ky. (October 21, 2008) – Kentucky Department of Corrections Director of Probation & Parole Lelia “Lee” VanHoose today announced that Cassandra “Sandy” Davis has been promoted to District 18 Supervisor. This is the southwest office of Jefferson County.
     “Sandy Davis has shown her skill and depth of knowledge as an officer,” said VanHoose.  “Further, she has the grit and dedication to the Division which will be essential as we move forward. I am excited to get this opportunity to work with Ms. Davis in this role. I have no doubt that she will excel in this position and provide strong leadership for her District.”
     Davis started her career in state government in 1987 with the Revenue Cabinet. In 1988 she joined the Department of Corrections when she became a legal secretary with the Parole Board. In 1990 she transferred to the Division of Probation & Parole, working in Louisville as a secretary, and began pursuing a degree in Justice Administration at the University of Louisville.
     After graduating in 1994, Davis became a Probation & Parole Officer in Louisville. She has been recognized for her work as an officer with awards in 2003 and 2007.
      A native of Jefferson County, Davis resides there with her seven-year-old daughter Erin. She is active in her daughter’s school and is also a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity.
