Kentucky Correctional Institution for Women

Mission:

To protect the citizens of the Commonwealth and to provide a safe, secure and humane environment for staff and offenders in carrying out the mandates of the legislative and judicial processes; and, to provide opportunities for offenders to acquire skills which facilitate non-criminal behavior.

 Deputy Warden Paige McGuire 

Paige McGuire earned her Bachelor’s degree from Western Kentucky University in 1988, then earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Spalding University in 1993. She began her career in 1995, as the psychologist in segregation at the Kentucky State Reformatory. In 1987, she was promoted to serve as the treatment supervisor for the Intensive Services Program. In 1998, she was promoted to Correctional Program Administrator, and assisted with opening the Correctional Psychiatric Treatment Unit, which is a 150 bed unit for male inmates with mental illness.

Ms. McGuire became a Certified Public Manager in 2002, and completed the Leadership Education and Development program the same year.

In 2004, Ms. McGuire was promoted to Deputy Warden of Operations at the Kentucky State Reformatory, where she supervised Medical, Mental Health, Emergency Medical Services Food Service, Religious Services, Recreation, and Engineering. In 2006, she completed the Commissioner's Executive Leadership Program.

In 2009, she transferred to Kentucky Correctional Institution for Women, to serve as the Deputy Warden of Security.
