Merv Haddix Promoted to Deputy Warden at Luther Luckett Correctional Complex

Kentucky Department of Corrections Commissioner LaDonna H. Thompson today announced a new deputy warden for Luther Luckett Correctional Complex (LLCC) in LaGrange. Mervin (Merv) Haddix begins serving as deputy warden at the prison on Aug. 1.

Don Keene Promoted to District 12 Assistant Supervisor in Division of Probation & Parole

Kentucky Department of Corrections Director of Probation & Parole Roberto Rodriguez today announced the promotion of Don Keene to assistant supervisor of District 12 in Frankfort. District 12 covers 11 counties including Anderson, Carroll, Franklin, Gallatin, Grant, Henry, Oldham, Owen, Shelby, Spencer and Trimble with satellite offices in Carrollton, LaGrange and Shelbyville. Keene assumed his new duties May 1.

2014 Correctional Employees’ Week Celebrated Across the State

Steve Beshear proclaimed May 5-10, 2014, as the official period in Kentucky when correctional employees are recognized for their hard work and commitment to public safety.

Clark Taylor to Retire as Warden of KSR; Aaron Smith Promoted to Fill the Post

Clark Taylor, warden of the Kentucky State Reformatory (KSR) in LaGrange, the state’s largest prison, has announced his retirement effective Aug. 1. Aaron Smith, acting deputy warden at KSR, will take over the reins from Taylor. Smith will serve in the role effective May 1.
